How To Join Our Group

If you live or work in our service area, and decide that you would like to know more about our group, please follow the steps below to learn more or to join. 

Steps to OTB Membership

Step 1. First, please attend a potluck. These are held monthly and information on the next one can be found on our events page. We hold these mostly in person except during the coldest months of the year. Everyone is welcome to just come and find out more information and to meet our members. Please bring a dish to share, and participate only if you are in good health. This is the first and most important step in joining, and cannot be skipped or substituted, for the safety of all of our members. Many exchanges are held in members' homes, and so we want to make sure to meet everyone face to face. After attending a potluck, if you decide that you wish to join, please let the host or one of the leadership members know of your intent to sign up for membership.

Step 2. You can request a zoom orientation or an in-person orientation, based on your needs and the volunteer coordinator's availability. 

Step 3. Only after the first two steps are done, please fill out this short application below, and make sure to hit "submit" when you are done. In the application process, please donate the annual dues, suggested at $25 per person per year (or $35/couple, or $50/organization) on a sliding scale. You can use the link below and pay with your Paypal account, or with a debit/credit card. This covers our small operating expenses, which are mostly website related. If this amount is a hardship for you, please feel free to email us and make other arrangements. No one has ever been denied membership for financial reasons and we welcome all members regardless of economic status.

Step 4. Please click here to set up your online profile. This online link will ask you some basic questions and will create a personal online account for you, so that when you are approved as a member, you will be able to exchange hours with members. It will not be active until you have completed the rest of the steps and are approved for membership. 

When all the steps are done, we will activate your account fully so that you are able to communicate and trade hours with all of our members. You will be receiving emails from our leadership through the process, but feel free to reach out at any time via email: ourtimebank@gmail.com and one of our volunteers will get back to you.
