Azure grocery order cutoff, Wed May 25, 4:00 PM

It's time for our next Azure grocery order.  Today at 4:00PM is the cutoff time for placing our Azure Standard grocery orders.  Delivery day is next week on Tues, plan to pick up your items after 7:30PM at Christy'sDavid is coordinating our order, call or email him with any questions or how-to details you may need addressed.  If you'd like to participate or to help us contact David.  



Westside Repair Café

Once again the Westside Repair Café team (Our Time Bank Transition Culver City) have joined forces with the The City of Santa Monica to help run the next "Regional" Repair Café!  

Guests, please mark your calendars for Saturday, July 16th, start time Noon, end time 4PM.  Volunteers and fixers, please plan to arrive between 10:30 and 11AM for setup and orientation, then stay to help put away and cleanup so we can vacate the facility by 5PM.  

Location and Parking: City of Santa Monica Virginia Avenue Park – Thelma Terry Building - 2200 Virginia Ave. Santa Monica, CA 90404. Park in the main lot (46 spaces) or the lot at 2201 Pico Blvd, or on the street if the lots are full. The Big Blue Bus #7 serves Virginia Ave Park near the corner of Pico and Cloverfield.

We will update this event page 1-2 weeks before the event date with the list of Repair Stations that will be operational.  For a complete description of what we expect to be able to repair at each Repair Station click HERE.

If you would like to volunteer to help at this event you do not need to be an expert fixer! Apprentices and those with an aptitude to learn are welcome to volunteer. If you can help with repairs, demonstrations, general staff support, etc. please consider signing up HERE (volunteers only please).

To help us do the repairs as fast as possible, we ask that you send us an EMAIL a week or two in advance describing the items you need repaired and their condition.  Please include brand and model numbers.  Our repairers will research your items ahead of time to help ensure we are able to make proper repairs quickly.

Stations that we hope to be in operation for this event include: Station B - Give-away Table; Station C - Wardrobe, Clothing; Station D - Computers; Station E - Appliances, Electrical; Station H - Bicycle; Station J - Sharpening; Station CR Crafts & Re-purposing; Station CS Clothing Swap table; maybe 1-2 other Stations and a couple demonstrations (TBD at event). (See our Repair Station page for types of repairs we hope to do).  

Our Repair Ticket form can be downloaded at the bottom of this Calendar listing.  Please see our procedures page for how it is used.  Please EMAIL us in advance to tell us about what you have for repair, please bring any manuals along with the item to help us with repairs.  



Important Note: It is likely that all attendees will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing. Due to continuing Covid safety protocols, our traditional sharing of refreshments may work differently at this event.
